About the Section
ASME was founded to support the Mechanical Engineer
and to promote our proud and honorable profession. The Central Indiana
section serves as the local affiliate serving the ASME members within
about a 100 mile radius of Indianapolis. We work to provide
opportunities for the professional development and advancement of our
members by providing seminars and short courses, setting up tours of
local and statewide companies and technologies, bringing in expert
speakers, interacting with government officials, providing support to
nearby collegiate engineering programs, and providing a forum for social
interaction with other area mechanical engineers.
Support the Local Section
All funds designated on your ASME membership renewal for the local
chapter are forwarded directly to our section, and are used to fund the
programs offered throughout the year.
