Robert D. Strattan is Emeritus Professor of Electrical Engineering and Adjunct Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Tulsa.  He has been a faculty co-advisor to the university’s hybrid-electric vehicle projects for 17 years.  He was one of the first Tulsa owners of a Toyota Prius hybrid.  He received electrical engineering degrees from Wichita State University and Carnegie Mellon University, is a licensed Professional Engineer in Oklahoma, a life senior member of IEEE and a member of other professional-technical societies including EST, SAE, ASEE, and OSPE- NSPE.  He is an officer of the Tulsa Engineering Foundation and is active in several engineering career guidance outreach activities.  He retired from 31 years of teaching and research at the University of Tulsa in 1999 and also was active in the aerospace industry throughout his professional career.
