Engineers Week 2006 Celebration

"90 Years of Whirlpool Engineering Innovation"

Speaker - Michael D. Thieneman, Ph.D. Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer Whirlpool Corporation

Please join us on March 4th to hear Mike Thieneman tell the Whirlpool engineering story of the "Washing Machine". It will start with a wooden tub, a paddle and an electric motor in the early 20th Century and finish with the modern marvel at the heart of today’s home laundry. You will find this to be a most fascinating narrative of challenge and solution utilizing "multi-disciplinary engineering" long before it became known by that name. There will be a display of some early washing machines available for your viewing during our social hour.
