Welcome to Syracuse

Welcome to the Syracuse ASME. Approximately 300 members in the Syracuse section are dispersed over a territory extending over 200 miles from the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake through the eastern Finger Lakes, the Tug Hill Plateau and including the western and northern Adirondacks to Canada. It's members reside in Chenango, Cortland. Cayuga, Onondaga, Madison, Oswego, Jefferson, Saint Lawrence and Franklin counties.

The section holds monthly technical meetings or tours of local industries from September through May, excluding December. It participates in the sponsorship of the CNY Engineering Expo and supports SUNY ESF's sponsorship of Professional Engineering Reviews. It cooperates with other technical organizations in the area through membership in the Technology Alliance of Central New York. The section provides a forum for the exchange of information among members and fosters the professional growth of its members. Through its links to the daVinci Project website, displayed as Local JobOpps on the menu of every page, the section provides a convenient, consolidated source of information about engineering employment opportunities in Upstate New York. This link supplements the international employment opportunity information provided by ASME International, which is also listed on the menu of each page. There are two student sections of ASME within the geographic area served by the Syracuse Section. They are located in Potsdam New York at Clarkson University and in Syracuse New York at Syracuse University.
