The 2010 ASME International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition, featuring
20 discussion tracks on topics ranging from energy to biotechnology, will be held Nov. 12-18,
at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre in British Columbia, Canada.
The Congress, ASME's largest annual conference, will bring together engineers, scientists
and other professionals from around the world to discuss new research and applications that
are shaping the future of engineering. The conference will consist of hundreds of technical
sessions, covering advancements in aerospace technology, manufacturing, dynamic systems,
safety engineering, and transportation, among many other subjects.
Multidisciplinary in format, the 2010 ASME International Mechanical Engineering Congress also will address sustainable development, alternative energy, climate change, and other subjects at the forefront of the international dialogue regarding environmental health and safety.
Other events to be featured at the ASME Congress include an exposition and poster session featuring advanced research and applications in micro devices and nanotechnology. And as it is every year, a highlight of the Congress will be the annual ASME Honors Assembly, which recognizes distinguished service and outstanding achievement in mechanical engineering.
