Company background
Kaiser-Richland is part of Kaiser Aluminum’s Rod, Bar and Tube group.
Kaiser started operations in Richland in late 1995 in the 313 building at Hanford’s 300 area. The original press was purchased from the Dept. of Energy. It was moved to the Stevens Drive location in 2002 and a second press was moved from Torrance CA to Richland. In 2008, the original press was removed and sent to Kaiser-Chandler outside of Phoenix, AZ.
Kaiser-Richland was slated for closure until spring of 2011, when a decision was made to invest $1.2 million in upgrades for the equipment. We currently employ 31 people including staff.
