Globalization 2005: What Do We Do To Face the Competitive Future?
by David Steiger, attorney, lecturer, and pundit

Even though some in the general public still fail to understand the implication of profound changes occurring today in the global economy, engineers find themselves on the front lines of the globalization debate. As India and China continue to assume a growing role in the global economy, their universities are turning out hundreds of thousands of well trained engineering graduates each year, prepared to work at a fraction of the wages of American graduates. What does the increasing competitiveness of peoples in the developing world mean for us in practical terms as we look to the future? What adjustments must our policymakers enact to allow America to succeed in the 21st Century? What strategies should individuals employ for themselves and their children in order to take advantage of the opportunities that these economic changes bring?

As an Adjunct Professor, attorney and author, David Steiger has a broad perspective on the commercial, economic, geopolitical, and cultural aspects of globalization, and on how key players in the world economy are shaping the future today. Please join us for a provocative presentation by a pragmatic and engaging analyst and pundit.
