This section of ASME includes members from Peoria, Bloomington, Champaign-Urbana and Decatur and their surrounding areas. The mission of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers is to promote and enhance the technical competency and professional well-being of our members, and through quality programs and activities in mechanical engineering, better enable its practicioners to contribute to the well-being of humankind.

Meetings are held year round and are usually the third week of every other month (on Wednesday or Thursday evenings). In 2010 we will be meeting on odd numbered months. Topics are chosen based on general interest and technical value, but mostly everybody has a good time. Ideas for meeting topics are always welcome!

Monthly Meetings will be held the 1st Wednesday of every month from 5:00 to 6:00pm
