To : Members

Date: June 8, 1999

Dear Members:

We have been communicating with about half of the members since October 1999 through e-mail. This communication has four purposes: Announce a plant trip, request your vote for election of officers for 1999-2000, request your vote for upgrading our group to subsection and request to update your data on the web page.

The second sheet of this letter is self addressed and stamped. Please fold it into three, tape it and mail it ASAP. Deadline for counting of election votes is June 24, 1999.

1. Upgrade to subsection:

It is the desire of the executive committee to enhance the activities of group by upgrading from our current status as a group to a subsection of Delaware Section. The upgrade provides us with an increase in funding allotment from ASME headquarters from $225 to $450 annually without any change in responsibility as an entity under Delaware Section.

It is imperative that you respond to upgrade petition. To approve the upgrade 51% of members must respond and majority of respondents must approve the upgrade. Please respond ASAP not to waste our stamp!
