The July 17th dinner meeting of the ASME Florida Section will feature one
of our own members on the topic of becoming a Technical Entrepreneur.

Lisa Schott on "The 5 phases of Technical Entrepreneurship.
(Including Truths that I didn’t believe until they happened)"

Why you should attend this presentation:

· Young engineers who may want to have their own business some day

· Engineers of any age who are considering starting their own business

· Engineers nearing retirement – if you plan to do even occasional
consulting after retirement, you need this information!

· Engineers of any age who have never considered starting their
own business – you will learn some useful information, it will spark your
interest, and it will give you insight into why the owners of your
company, your suppliers, and your customers act like they do!

Lisa Schott is the President and Principal Acoustical Consultant at
Quietly Making Noise, LLC, a company that she founded in 2002 in Orlando, Florida.
She has over 22 years experience in the energy and building construction industries,
with extensive experience in industrial, commercial, and residential acoustics and
noise control projects. Lisa has successfully invented and now has a patent pending
on Shut-Eye™ Acoustical Shutters for windows and doors.

Lisa received a Bachelor’s degree with highest honors in Mechanical
Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition to being a member
of the ASME, she is a member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineers, National
Council of Acoustical Consultants, and Acoustical Society of America. She is on the
Board of Directors of the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation and the Advisory Board for
the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. She has been
appointed to the Georgia Tech Council of Outstanding Young Engineering Alumni.

Above dinners include salad and choice of cold or hot beverage

This presentation will be eligible for 1 hour of PDH credit.
