Subject: ASME Hawaii Section General
Membership Meeting for November 8, 2005 (Tuesday)
Greetings Fellow Mechanical Engineers!
You are cordially invited to attend the
next General Membership Meeting for the Hawaii Section of the American Society
of Mechanical Engineers scheduled for November 8, 2005 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at
the Hawaiian Electric Company, Inc. (HECO) cafeteria meeting rooms.
Our featured speaker for the general
membership meeting will be Mr. Alan Lloyd, P.E., who will be giving an informal
20-minute presentation entitled "Taking a Dual Train Combined Cycle Power
Plant to Sea."
Mr. Lloyd is a retired (1996) HECO
mechanical engineer and strong supporter of the ASME Hawaii Section. Although retired, Alan is still very busy
and active as a volunteer with the community and is also very active in the
Hawaii American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air Conditioning
Engineers (ASHRAE) Section, Engineers & Architects of Hawaii and the Navy
League of Hawaii.
Mr. Lloyd generously shares his
engineering knowledge and stories of his travels and experience to various
local and national engineering societies.
As part of ASME Hawaii's purpose to promoting positive change and most
important, continuity between experienced and up-and-coming mechanical
engineers, we will all be in for a treat and we invite you to attend.
As usual, the meeting will also be a time
to meet other mechanical engineers working in different specialties and to also
share in the common bond of the importance that we as mechanical engineers do
to ensure the health and safety of the public and improve the quality of life
for all.
We look forward to seeing you at our next
General Membership meeting!!
Regards,
Raymond Liu
