Special Thanks: To our 2007/2008 chairman, Gerry Sedor, for his service as section chairman and meeting organizer. Gerry retires this summer after many years of service to the university and ASME. When you see him at a meeting next year, take a moment to congratulate our most recent Past Chairman and newest Member At Large.
In addition to this website we now have an on-line forum for NNE members within the ASME PeerLink on-line space. Click here to link to this new environment.
The forum space is available to start discussions between meetings or to respond to events at the most recent section meeting. Please take a moment to try the polls included there and vote for your section meeting preferences. We want your opinions! Watch this space for a more inclusive on-line membership survey.

Did You Remember To...
...attend the student project night? If not, you missed the award winning UNH CanSat team presentation. That's right, not long after the meeting the multidiscisplinary student team won 1st place in the national competition!
According to team advisor, May-Win Thein:
"UNH was the only team to successfully pass all mission requirements. The judging, however, was not just based on the launch. It was also based on the PDR (preliminary design report), CDR (concept definition report), and the post-mission presentation.
UNH impressed all the judges, especially for being a first year team. In fact, I would not be surprised if we heard from the different organizations that were represented there (e.g., NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Orbital Sciences, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, US Naval Research Labs, etc) for recruiting purposes."
