    Special articles for the website are welcome.

    Treasury Report:

     

    The Section received our allocation from Headquarters (approx. $8,000 which includes $450 for each of our three subsections.
    No formal report.  We still need to get sign-off papers for our Certificates of Deposit from Keith Olasin.

    Karen has been temporarily handling the vacant Treasurer’s position.

    Karen has sign off authority for Checks.

    Sid is a back-up signatory. Arnold Pristernik volunteered to be Treasurer for the new season.

    Training Trainers    (ASME reimburses expenses)

     

    There will be a semi-annual meeting for training trainers June 13th to June 15th in Atlanta, Georgia.

    This is to train trainers for regional student groups and for administrative conferences.

    There are Regional Student Leadership Training sessions on October 4 in Puerto Rico, and also on October 18 at Manhattan College.

     

    Anyone interested in becoming a trainer should contact Karen.

    Picnic -  July 19 – RESERVE THE DATE

     

    Tomahawk Lake, Sparta, NJ

    Sid is reserving picnic tables for up to 75 people with a grill that can accommodate 50

    Bring food, cook it on grill, or buy from concession.
    Boat rentals ( paddle boats and row boats)

    Swimming beach with full facilities and lifeguards
    Special  water slides at extra cost of $13/person – must be 4 ft tall and able to swim.
    $40 reservation (paid by Section) to reserve tables.  If it rains, this fee would be applied to another date,  provided tables are available. We cannot reserve a rain date.
    If it rains on July 19 we hope that we will be able to reschedule for July 26. 
    Admission charge is $10/adult and $8/child 8yrs and under.

    Other locations were investigated but they did allow reservations and they offered much fewer facilities.

    Honors and Awards Dinner

     

    The date will be June 26th at the Hanover Manor.  Richard Dolinsky is making arrangements with the Manor.

    Entrée: chicken Francaise, broiled salmon, or vegetarian
    Vegetable: twice baked potatos and mixed vegetables
    Desert: peach melba
    Arnold Pristernik will issue invitations with an RSVP of June 18.  Bud Foster volunteered (at a previous meeting) to assist in issuing invitations.

     

    Invitees will include 25, 35, and 50 year members, past chairs, and present Section Directors.

    Special Award to PSE&G

     

    We hoped to present a special award to PSE&G some time in the fall.
