Ernest W. Weaver, Sr. and Anne S. Weaver Memorial Scholarship

The Ernest W. Weaver, Sr. & Anne S. Weaver Memorial Scholarship is a $500 cash scholarship awarded annually to the son or daughter of a member of the Northwest Ohio Section of ASME, or to a Student Member in good standing of either the University of Toledo Student Section or the Ohio Northern University Student Section.  In addition, the recipient of the scholarship must have Junior Class or higher standing in an ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering Program.

This application format for the scholarship now consists of a two page application form.  Applicants are asked to provide contact information for three personal references, and are required to write a short essay (approximately 200 words) on their personal goals, and how they will benefit ASME and the engineering profession in general.

The Weaver Scholarship is presented at the annual Awards Program in April.
Applications are due by January 31 of the year they are awarded.

Scholarships are awarded at the April Awards Dinner Program.  The scholarship is presented in memory of the Weavers who were dedicated supporters of ASME.  Ernie Weaver was a long time member of ASME and an outstanding engineer in the Toledo area.
