Board MeetingsOregon Section board meetings are open to the public. We encourage all ASME members to attend at least one meeting each year. Board meetings provide opportunities to review past events, consider plans, and brainstorm future events. Meetings also provide networking opportunities for members seeking employment. We invite industry experts interested in teaching professional development courses. Local university students are also invited in order to help improve cooperation between the Oregon Section and student sections of ASME. The Board normally holds meetings the first Wednesday of each month (except summer months). Meetings start at 6 pm and last one to two hours. The Section provides pizza and soft drinks. The meeting location is at Darden Engineering in Portland, just northeast of the intersection of Highway 26 and Skyline Blvd, in the office building at 5319 SW Westgate Drive (east side), in the basement, in Suite 32.
