The section is interested in contacting K-12 schools in the area to provide support for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) programs for the schools. If you know of a school that would be interested in working with us, please contact one of the section officers.

The Independence Seaport Museum in Philadelphia is in the process of finding a new location for the cruiser Olympia. But before the ship can be moved, extensive work must be done on the ship's hull. ASME has designated the ship's engines as an engineering landmark and is an active member of the group helping to preserve the ship. More information can be found here and donations to support the work on the ship can be made here.

The state of Pennsylvania has added continuing education requirements for the renewal of Professional Engineering license.
For more information on these new requirements click here. On the displayed page click on Continuing Education
