GM Fuel Cells: The Path from Technical Capability to Commercial Viability
September 20 -- Annual Steak Roast and Fuel Cell Presentation
This talk, sponsored by the SWE and ITT, covers overview of fuel cells, fuel cells in vehicles, environmental, and hydrogen infrastructure and will be given by Barb Moore and Sitima Fowler. Occurring at the Lodge at Buckland Park, admission for students is $10 and for all others admission is $15.
About the speakers
Barb Moore
Barb Moore is a Systems Reliability Manager at General Motor's fuel cell research facility in Honeoye Falls, New York. She has been working on fuel cell stack and power module component development and testing with GM for 8 years. She worked in fuel injection system design for 11 years prior to working with fuel cells. She has received awards and patents in the field including GM's Chairman's Honors award for a test program with Dow Chemical. She lives in Victor, NY with her husband and 2 daughters.
Sitima Fowler
Sitima Fowler is a Systems Development Manager at General Motor's fuel cell research facility in Honeoye Falls. For the past five years, she has been working on fuel cell stack and power module development and test with GM. Prior to GM, she worked at Corning and Xerox in product development and manufacturing. Her numerous awards and patents include GM's "Rising Star" award and Xerox's "President's award" for a Controls systems project. She lives in Rochester with her husband and 2 children.
