Going Green

April 4, 2007

The Town of Brighton is coordinating a public information meeting on April 4, 2007 with a screening of "An Inconvenient Truth", Al Gore's movie that explores the causes and consequences of global warming. A panel of experts from the scientific community, from both local universities and businesses, will lead a discussion of the video, examine the science behind it, and field questions from the audience in a forthright question and answer session using science - not fear and hype - as a fear and focus. There will be vendors at the fair showing items and equipment.

There is some information on page 36 of Brighton's Spring newsletter.

This is a link to the official site of the documentary An Inconvenient Truth.

An Inconvenient Truth is a feature film documentary on the Earth's climate crisis. The film features Al Gore and is directed by Davis Guggenheim. A Paramount Classics Release.

This is a free program starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of Brighton Town Hall in the auditorium.
2300 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 12618. Their phone is 585-784-5250

Reservations are not required, but if you can, call Melissa Hantman, the Town's Director of Communications, at 585.784-5253. Here is an interactive map to the Town Hall.
