Profitability, Sustainability and Wellness in the Built Environment

Ten years ago “green buildings” were virtually unheard of, but rising energy costs, resource consumption and environmental impacts have rapidly propelled this once fringe concept into the mainstream. As a demand for green buildings increases, companies offering LEED Accredited Professionals and sustainable practitioners who thoroughly understand how to design, construct and retrofit buildings to achieve maximum building sustainability goals are highly sought. Knowledgeable owners, architects, engineers, developers and contractors play a critical role in this rapidly growing sector of the built environment.

This event – “Building the Triple Bottom Line” – is targeted at architects, engineers and building contractors to provide Rochester area developers and contractors with the tools they need to successfully participate in this fast-growing building market. It will help strengthen the green building expertise of local professionals and trades people. It is a triple-pronged approach, designed to (1) provide valuable professional education opportunities, (2) bring together green building professionals and vendors who market green building products, and (3) generate seed money that can by used by RGBN to further its sustainability projects.

There are three tracks you can follow this day.

  1. LEED Existing Buildings
  2. Green Contractor Trainer
  3. Green Building EXPO
