Critical Review of Alternative Energy Options
by Ben Ebenhack
September 19 at 5:30 pm

Alternative Energy options will be discussed by Ben in light of their potential, their limitations, and the  demand gap which they will have to fill.  Potential will be considered in terms of the known resource base, the current production, the technical requirements for tapping larger portions of the resource base.  Limitations will, similarly be viewed as functions of resource base and technologies, but the environmental impacts and the time lag for new resource development will be considered

The current energy mix

The alternatives

The character of the demand/supply gap – what will the alternatives need to produce?

Potential and limitations of each alternative

The time function

What may the future energy mix look like?
