Double Tour!

Laser Projection

Control Room

&

Hydroelectric Power Plant

High Falls Area

Roy Brown of RG&E will be our tour host.

Each weekend during the spring and summer months, and during selected dates the rest of the year in Rochester, a laser light show is produced at the High Falls Area. Light is projected from the West side of the Genesee River, near waters edge, onto the wall rising up from the waters edge, on the east side of the river. This visit will take us into the projection facility to see the equipment that projects that light.  Tour takes 15 to 30 minutes.

We'll also tour at the same location an operating RG&E hydroelectric power plant. This unit takes advantage of the approximately 100-ft elevation change of the Upper Falls.

For safety purposes the laser equipment will not be operating during the tour. Afterwards please return to street elevation where the laser show will begin at 10 p.m.
