Penn Yan Aero has been remanufacturing and improving piston aircraft engines since 1945. They are an independent re manufacturing operation specializing in Textron Lycoming and Teledyne Continental engines. They are one of six engine remanufacturing firms in the USA for General Aviation. Penn Yan Aero Services is ranked as one of the top two in the USA. Their employees are skilled and professional men and women with an active interest in aircraft and engines. Penn Yan Aero has FAA Licensed Repairmen, A&P Licensed Technicians, and FAA Designated Airworthiness Representatives on staff. The firm holds a number of specialized FAA ratings and approved repair procedures. Penn Yan Aero remanufactures about 300 aero engines per year. A dinner is planned for after the tour at Sarrasin's, a lake front restaurant located near the facility, on the Keuka Lake Shore. The Buffet will include Chicken Cordon Bleu, Roast Top Sirloin , Italian Style Whitefish, garden mixed salad, and twice baked potatoes, rolls and butter, and dessert
