Welcome
to the San Diego Section of the American Society of Mechanical
Engineers (ASME International). Our Section is a volunteer
organization established in 1952 to serve our members and the public in
San Diego and Imperial Counties, California. We are approximately
900 strong and represent many organizations and companies throughout
our territory.
Our purpose is to promote and enhance the
Mechanical Engineering profession by collaborative efforts. We
aim to enhance the individuals and the Engineering field by presenting
technical programs, arranging tours of interests, and mentoring
students from kindergarten through college levels. We draw upon
the resources of our local Section, our District (D), and, of course,
ASME International to fulfil our objectives.
