32 (19 members, 5 students, and 8 guests) attended and learned about Torque and Pilot Hole and happenings at USD.  Here are some pictures.





ANNUAL SECTION AWARDS BANQUET

This annual end-of-year event is the opportunity to honor and recognize:  the recent Science and Engineering Fair winners, the university engineering students, the 25-yr and 50-yr ASME members, one special award, and your local volunteers.  The banquet will be held on Friday, May 19, 2006 at Best Western Seven Seas in Mission Valley (Hotel Circle).

The Science Fair winners will display their winning projects and would be available for discussion.

The schedule of the evening’s events is as follows:

  • 6:00-6:45     Social Hour and Display of Science Fair Projects
  • 6:45-7:30     Buffet Dinner
  • 7:30-7:35    Award for Science Fair Winners
  • 7:35-7:45    Award for 25- and 50-yr Members
  • 7:45-7:55    Recognition of Local Volunteers
  • 7:55-8:00    Introduction of New Officers and Volunteers
  • 8:15-9:00    Presentations by university students
The Awards Banquet is the culminating event of our year and should not be missed.  Please join us in honoring our retired, current, and future engineers.

Cost:         Complimentary for invited guests of honor.  $20 for members and non-members and $15 for university student members.  (To show our appreciation for your membership, our Section is subsidizing everyone.)

Menu:        Buffet dinner consisting of Caesar salad, carrot raisin salad, fruit tray, cheese/crackers, sliced baron of beef, chicken cordon bleu, redskin potatoes, vegetables, rolls, coffee, tea, and dessert.
