REPORT:
20 members and prospective USD student members met to hear the discussion on spine implant technology on the USD campus on April 28.  The presentation described materials used, test methods utilized, and physiological realities of using metal and plastic implants for joint stabilization and repair.  Mr. Cornwall, VP R&D from NuVasive, did an excellent job.  The meeting was held on the USD campus to help draw attention to the new ME degree now being offered at USD.  Many thanks to Professor Frank Jacobitz for arranging the on campus location.
