A Day at the Capitol (DAC)

A Day at the Capitol is organized by ASME International's Board on Government Relations and ASME Region IX.  It is typically held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Sacramento, CA.

The primary objectives of the event are listed below:

1. Expose the attendees to the state legislative process.
2. Brief members on current State legislative issues and initiatives concerning the engineering community.
3. Organize a select number of issues in the State’s Engineering community that affect the practice of Engineering and relate these to a member of the legislature or their representative.

6th Annual "A Day at the Capitol" 

The 6th "Day" was held on February 18, 2003.  The "Day" was not held in 2004.  The 7th (and last) "Day" was held on May 18, 2005.
