System Integration of Modeling & Simulation of Military Vehicle Design

About United Defense Limited Partnership: UDLP at Santa Clara design and manufacture military vehicles.

 

System Integration of Modeling and simulation is an integral part of their vehicle design process. About the speaker: Kevin Chang, Ph.D., manages the Combat System Integration Labs (CSIL) Department of the United Defense. He has been with UDLP for more than 8 years and has over 16 years of experience in combining modeling & simulation, computer graphics, and network programming to perform system integration. Presently, he is responsible for the System Integration activities at UDLP in support of Manned Ground Vehicle (MGV) and Armed Robotic Vehicle (ARV) of the Future Combat Systems (FCS) program. About the presentation: Dr. Chang will provide examples of system integration of modeling and simulation in support of military vehicle design. His presentation will cover the CSIL Simulation-Emulation-Stimulation (SES) rapid prototyping process to perform system integration to support military vehicle design.
