The ASME Social in Bakersfield was a great way to start the year! Many of our Bakersfield members and guests came in to see old friends and meet new faces. Attendance was predominately of people involved in the numerous facets of the local oil and gas production business. Engineers from operating companies, service companies, design engineering firms, and manufacturers were among those present; our guests took full advantage of the networking opportunity. The design engineering firm, Processes Unlimited, set up an information booth and displayed examples of its projects to our guests. We saw plenty of smiles and business cards being exchanged, so we hope to hold another social event in the near future.
The San Fernando Valley section of the ASME invites you to an afternoon Social Hour(s) from 6:00 - 8:00pm to kick-off the New Year and meet old (and new) friends and acquaintances. The event will be held at Lengthwise Brewery in Bakersfield on Thursday, 12 February, 2009.
The event will also provide a summary of upcoming SFV Section events, such as plant tours that have been organized for 2009 by the Section.
