The ASME Virginia Section comprises of a large geographical area with a diverse constituency. Mechanical Engineers working in the areas of nuclear engineering, rail industries, education, HVAC, and automotive manufacturing make up the majority of engineers in the Virginia Section. The Virginia Section also includes several prominent Mechanical Engineering universities, such as Virginia Tech, University of Virginia, Virginia Military Institute, and others.
