~Upcoming OSBEELS Board Vacancy~

The Oregon and Willamette Valley Sections of ASME are working together to identify qualified PEs in mechanical engineering who are interested in serving on the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying (OSBEELS). Currently, there are no mechanical or electrical engineers serving on the board, a matter of great concern considering the multi-disciplinary nature of the issues that are faced by this authority. In April 2007, the Oregon governor’s office is expected to begin the appointment process to fill OSBEELS vacancies. The ASME section boards would like to submit letters of support for one or more candidates.

If you are interested, please contact Carmen Watkins watkinsc2@asme.org (Chair, Willamette Section) or Sameer Bachani sameer.bachani@gmail.com (Chair, Oregon Section) by April 1, 2007.
